Using the site

GreaseTrapRules is free for restaurants and anyone else to use. Rule summaries and quotes come from official city, utility and municipal-code sources and are for information only. They are not legal, engineering or plumbing advice. Rules change; always confirm with your local sewer authority before installing, pumping or paying fees.

Pumping-company listings

• Free listings are free and stay free. We list a company in a city only when its own website (or an official hauler list) shows it serves that city.
• Featured listings are a paid, clearly labeled placement at the top of one city page: $49 per month or $490 per year per city, or the founding rate of $29 per month while it is offered. Founding subscribers keep that rate while they stay subscribed. No more than 3 Featured spots per city.
• We review every Featured listing before it goes live, usually within one business day, and may edit or refuse descriptions, logos or links that are misleading or off-topic.
• A listing is not an endorsement. Featured placement never changes the rule text on any page.

Billing, cancellation & refunds

• Featured listings renew automatically each month or year until canceled. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
• Cancel any time by emailing [email protected]. Your spot stays live until the end of the period you paid for, and you are not charged again.
• If we can't confirm that you serve the city you paid for, we refund you in full before your spot goes live.
• Other refund requests: email us and we'll work it out fairly.
