Free compliance book: grease + backflow due dates

Store your commercial customers in one place. When a grease trap pump-out or backflow test is coming due, reminders fire automatically — GTR emails on behalf of your book (email only, one per item per year). Pause any single customer without stopping the rest. A fire log shows what went out and when. Free for one business, up to ten customers. No credit card.

What this is (and isn’t). This sits beside free pump-out reminders (for a restaurant’s own trap). The compliance book is for businesses that manage other locations — pumpers, plumbers, multi-site kitchens, property managers. Due emails are automatic in a ~30-day window (email only — no SMS). Pause one customer (dispute, switched testers) without affecting the list. Fire log = proof of every reminder send. We do not invent city backflow schedules: you enter the due date from the customer’s notice, permit, or last test. Grease intervals can still use our sourced city rules on /reminders/.

Optional: add up to 10 customers now (or after you confirm). Each customer needs a name and at least one due item.

We’ll email you once to confirm (usually within a few hours, Monday–Saturday). The book opens only after you click that link. Terms

How auto-send, pause, and the fire log work

  • Auto due emails: when a grease or backflow due date approaches (within about 30 days, or up to 60 days overdue), one reminder fires automatically — no manual click. Email only. One send per item per calendar year.
  • Per-customer pause: pause reminders for one customer (dispute, they switched testers) without stopping the rest of your list. Resume anytime from the book.
  • Fire log: every reminder that went out is logged (customer, grease|backflow, time, status) so you have proof — useful for Featured pros and trust for free owners.

Free kitchen vs Featured pro (honest money flow)

  • Free (kitchen / book owner ≤10 customers): auto due reminders on grease + backflow, pause per customer, fire log, city grease-rules pages. Email only — no SMS. No credit card. GTR sends the reminder on behalf of your book (customer email if you saved it; otherwise you get the digest).
  • Featured pro (founding $29/month): not “software you buy” — it’s the cost of always being first when a test is due in your market (lead placement + Featured). We charge the pro, not the property owner. Email [email protected] for early access — this page does not take a card yet.
  • Optional SMS is later only, not promised and not built for launch.

FAQ

Who is this for?
Small contractors and multi-site operators who already know their commercial customers and need automatic due reminders — not a full field-service suite.
Do you email my customers for me?
Yes on free: when an item is due, GTR sends one automatic email on behalf of your book (to the customer if their email is on file; otherwise to you). Email only — no SMS. Pause any one customer anytime. The fire log shows what went out.
Can I pause one customer?
Yes. Use Pause on that customer in your book. Auto-send skips them until you Resume. Other customers keep getting reminders.
What is the fire log?
A simple list of reminder emails that went out: customer, type (grease or backflow), timestamp, and status. Proof for Featured pros; trust for free owners.
Do you publish backflow rules by city?
Not yet. We will only add city backflow rule pages when we have verified official sources (same never-lie rule as grease). Until then, enter the due date you already have.
How is this different from /reminders/?
Pump-out reminders are for one location’s own grease trap on a city schedule. This book holds many customers and covers grease and backflow due dates you enter — with auto-send, pause, and a fire log.

Not legal advice. Always confirm with your city or water utility. Competitors like FlowCert, Stampario, and Syncta are backflow- or tester-focused; this free tool bundles grease + backflow under GreaseTrapRules with local grease rules and the pumper network behind it.
