For grease trap pumpers, backflow testers, hood cleaners & Ansul techs
Get found by kitchens right when a pump-out or test is due
Restaurant owners and kitchen managers come here for city grease rules — and for free grease, backflow, hood, and Ansul due reminders. Pumpers: free to be listed, flat $59 only per booked job. Hood cleaners and wet-chem/Ansul techs: founding waitlist (target $99–$149/mo later) via /compliance/. Not software you buy — the cost of always being first when a due email goes out. What you get
Featured placement
The top spot on the city pages you choose, above the A–Z list, right under the official rules restaurants and building managers come to read.
Quote requests from your city
Restaurants and property, building and facility managers can request pumping quotes on every city page. Featured companies receive quote requests from their city automatically, by email, before any other company. Other listed companies may only be told that a request came in (city, property type, service and timing), never the requester's name or contact details. Shared only with the requester's consent.
“Verified on GreaseTrapRules” badge
Listed companies can add a free badge to their own website, linking to their city page. It shows customers we checked you serve their city.
Built for recurring work
- Scheduled, repeat service. Many cities set a pumping interval (often monthly to quarterly; see the rules on each city page), so every account is repeat work, not a one-off.
- Building managers with several sites. Property, building and facility managers can request quotes for shared interceptors, multi-tenant buildings and more than one location.
- Compliance-minded customers. Our free compliance checker and printable cleaning logs bring owners who want the job handled on schedule and documented.
Why list here
- The right audience. Visitors are food-service operators and property, building and facility managers checking local rules, not homeowners or job seekers.
- Quote requests from the site. Restaurants and building managers can now request pumping quotes on every city page. Building managers often need recurring service for shared interceptors across several tenants.
- The right moment. People read pumping schedules and hauler rules when a pump-out is due or an inspector has called.
- Next to the rules. 182 city rule pages in 43 states and DC, each with its own pumper section.
- Fair and clear. Free listings are A–Z, sponsored spots are labeled, and the rules never change for money.
Featured availability
Limited to 3 companies per city. Each city page shows how many Featured spots are left in that city (for example, 3 spots left in Chicago), and checkout checks availability live before you pay.

Questions
What does it cost?
The basic listing is free and stays free. Featured is a paid upgrade, billed per city by card through Stripe. You can cancel anytime.
How do you decide which cities I appear in?
We list you in a city only when your own website (or an official hauler list) shows you serve it. Tell us the cities and the page that backs them up, and we add them.
How many Featured spots are there per city?
No more than 3, so each one stays visible at the top of the page. When a city is full, email us and we will put you on its waitlist (first come, first served).
What does Featured cost?
Nothing to be listed. Pumpers pay a flat $59 only when a request we send becomes a booked job, under a short written agreement first. No monthly fee and no charge for leads that don’t book.
Can backflow testers get Featured?
Yes — same terms: free to list, flat $59 only per booked job. Framing: always being first when a backflow test is due, not buying another tester CRM. Chicago tester listings are a waitlist until the tester directory ships; pumpers can claim now via /claim/. Email [email protected] to join the tester waitlist.
Will Featured change the rules shown on the page?
No. The city rules always come from the official source. Featured listings are clearly labeled as sponsored.
How is Featured different from Sponsor?
Featured (free to list; flat $59 per booked job) is a directory slot at the top of one city page with quote requests. Sponsor packages ($250–$500/mo on /sponsors/) are broader brand placements (logos, tip lines). For Houston FOG, founding Featured is the “recommended compliance partner” soft-launch path; Sponsor is optional brand uplift. You can do either or both.
What if Houston Featured is still empty?
That means no paid founding hauler has claimed it yet — not that the product is broken. Soft launch: get listed free from /claim/?city=Houston|TX and we review before go-live. We never invent a signed recommended vendor.
Can I update or remove my listing?
Yes. Use the "Claim this listing" link on your listing, or email us, and we make the change on the next site update.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
Email us any time and we cancel at the end of your current billing period. If we can't confirm you serve the city you paid for, we refund you in full before your spot goes live.
Is my payment secure?
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
Ready to be found?
